Zelenskyy promised dignified response to Russians for shelling of Ukrainian energy facilities
Russians should be aware that they may receive a symmetrical response for shelling Ukraine's energy system and border settlements, emphasized Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, in a joint interview with Gitanas Nauseda.
The head of state noted that Ukraine is not conducting military operations on the territory of Russia. At the same time, according to him, Russians should realize that if they shell our people along the border, they may get a corresponding response.
"When they bomb our energy system, they may also experience fly-ins to theirs. But no one targets civilians. We know Russia and the volumes of Russian propaganda. If they were really losing civilians, there would be videos everywhere showing their losses. There are no losses on the territory of Russia, and that's a fact," said Zelenskyy.
According to him, Russians should know that there is an increase in drones and missile capabilities, and that when they turn off the lights in Kharkiv, the people in Kharkiv want to turn off their lights.
"That's how it will be. They haven't fully felt it yet in Moscow and St. Petersburg. They don't feel it yet, but the further and deeper Russia goes with its attacks, they should know that no one is sitting still, production is underway, and they will feel it all," emphasized Zelenskyy.
Zelenskyy's visit to Lithuania
On Wednesday, January 10, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy arrived in Vilnius for a working visit. There, he held negotiations with Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda. The leaders signed bilateral agreements and a joint statement.
In addition, Zelenskyy discussed defense cooperation and joint projects with the Prime Minister of the country, Ingrida Simonyte.
Explosions in Belgorod and Belgorod region
Lately, explosions have been occurring more frequently in the Belgorod region. These explosions are even heard in the regional center. Russian officials and propagandists accuse Ukraine of the attacks and fabricate stories about the successful work of air defense.
For example, on December 30, powerful explosions were reported in the center of Belgorod. According to Russia's Ministry of Emergency Situations, 14 people died, and over 100 were injured as a result of the shelling. Ukraine denied involvement in the attack, explaining the events as the fall of Russian air defense missiles.
On January 8, explosions were reported again in Belgorod, prompting the city to declare an air alarm. The Russian Ministry of Defense complained about an attempt to strike military objects using reactive volley fire systems.
