President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy will make his first official visit to Ireland, Sky News writes, citing a statement by Irish Prime Minister Micheál Martin.

Micheál Martin stated that he and Volodymyr Zelenskyy will hold bilateral talks and take part in the opening of the Ireland–Ukraine Economic Forum, which, in his opinion, "offers an opportunity to explore the potential for strengthened business-to-business, trade and investment links between Ireland and Ukraine."

Prime Minister Martin, who had already met Zelenskyy during his brief stop in Ireland on the way to the United States in February, emphasized the importance of the upcoming visit for both countries.

"Around the world, he is rightly recognized as someone who embodies the courage and resilience of the Ukrainian people, who have inspired the world in their brave defence of their country and its sovereignty since it was brutally and illegally invaded by Russia," he said.

Martin added that although he has met President Zelenskyy several times, including in Kyiv, this first official visit by Ukraine to Ireland has special significance and will become an important event for bilateral relations.

It is known that during the trip, Zelenskyy will also meet with the President of Ireland, Catherine Connolly, and the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Helen McEntee.

The First Lady, Olena Zelenska, will arrive in Dublin together with the President.

In addition, Micheál Martin emphasized that Ireland has been and remains one of Ukraine's reliable partners since the beginning of Russia's full-scale aggression in 2022. The country has provided shelter to about 120,000 Ukrainians who were forced to flee the war, and it has supported Ukraine at the diplomatic and humanitarian levels.

Since November 12, 2025, Ireland has changed the living conditions for refugees from Ukraine.
