Zelenskyy outlines 3 essential victories needed for Ukraine in near future
Currently, Ukraine needs three main victories that will encourage it to fight against Russia, according to a statement of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy at a joint press conference with the President of Latvia, Egils Levits.
According to Zelenskyy, the first victory would be the decision of the US Congress regarding assistance to Ukraine. He mentions that it's a challenge not solely dependent on Ukraine, but the country must do everything in its power to ensure that the aid is received.
The second victory entails the support of the European Union. Specifically, Ukraine aims to secure a 50 billion euro aid package from the EU. Zelenskyy emphasizes the need for efforts to garner support within the EU for this aid package, acknowledging that not everyone within the EU is currently ready to endorse it.
The third victory involves initiating dialogue about Ukraine's future membership in the EU. Zelenskyy sees this as a motivational step for those working, studying, or risking their lives on the battlefield. He emphasizes the importance of achieving results concerning these three aspects in the near future.
Russia may start a war again
Additionally, recent reports from German analysts suggest that Russian President Vladimir Putin might take up to six years to rebuild the army and potentially attack NATO.
Zelenskyy has warned against allowing the freezing of the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, stating that failure to resolve the situation could allow the aggressor country to rebuild its military potential by 2028 and attempt attacks on other nations.
