A meeting of the Staff of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief was held, during which the implementation of decisions aimed at strengthening combat brigades and reinforcing the frontline was reviewed, according to President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

Staff meeting and assessment of decisions

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said he held a meeting of the Staff of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief.

According to him, participants conducted a detailed analysis of the implementation of previously adopted decisions voiced by frontline military personnel. He noted that in the second half of last year, a number of measures were introduced that have already led to stronger positions for Ukrainian forces on the front line.

Support for combat brigades

Among the key decisions is direct funding for combat brigades to purchase necessary equipment, primarily drones.

The approach to personnel distribution was also revised, enabling stable reinforcement of approximately 160 military units.

In addition, the capabilities of units responsible for basic general military training were expanded. According to the President, the number of such units has significantly increased, strengthening their combat readiness.

Artillery and supplies

Zelenskyy said special attention was paid to supplying the army with long-range 155mm ammunition, which is regularly requested by the military.

He tasked officials with expanding funding, production, and logistics for such shells, as well as strengthening artillery capabilities overall.

The Ministry of Defense is also continuing work to provide the armed forces with vehicles, including pickup trucks. Some decisions are already being implemented.

Front line and air defense

According to Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Oleksandr Syrskyi, the situation on key directions remains under control, and Ukrainian positions are assessed as stable.

Strengthening air defense was also discussed, as it remains one of the top priorities.

Zelenskyy emphasized the need to intensify diplomatic efforts to obtain additional systems and missiles, including anti-ballistic defense capabilities.

"I also instructed the Ministry of Defense to intensify all available formats with partners for the supply of anti-ballistic capabilities. We must find what Ukraine needs," Zelenskyy said.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that achieving real security and ending the war requires increased international political and economic pressure on Russia, as well as further expansion of support for Ukraine from partners.

He also noted that weakening or lifting international sanctions against Russia would be a wrong step in building dialogue, as it would only strengthen Russia's military potential and its army.
