Zelenskyy on 2024: Despite everything happening in other countries, we need capability to do our own thing

Despite everything that will be happening in other countries in the upcoming year, 2024, Ukraine needs the potential to make its own way, stated President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, citing the address of the head of the state.
"The Staff meeting is special, a summary for the year. Both for the past year and the upcoming one. It covers what has been accomplished this year and what will be needed to be done next year. The report from the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and the General Staff has been presented. Additionally, the plan of our actions for the year 2024 was also introduced," he said.
According to Zelenskyy, there was also a report from intelligence agencies, including the Main Directorate of Intelligence and foreign intelligence.
"It covered what the occupiers are preparing for and, in general, the situation - the overall military-political expectations and possible events in the world," he added.
The President stated that the next year will be a time for many decisions.
"Despite everything that will be happening in other countries, despite any political changes and sentiments, we need enough capacity to do our thing. To achieve our goals. It's clear that the next year will be a time for many decisions—global decisions. And Ukraine needs to be able to influence them – to be able to achieve its goals," he said.
Zelenskyy added that Ukraine will fight for its influence, and for justice for Ukraine.
"I am grateful to all the leaders who are helping, who have been with us since February 24 and will be with us in the 24th year. Thank you to all our soldiers! Thank you to everyone working for our state and people," the president stated.
