The main difference between the two American presidents is their approach to ending the war in Ukraine. However, as is already clear, former US President Joe Biden failed to end the fighting, according to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

"Most importantly, I don't want to criticize anyone. I am grateful to America for all the help during this war. America has supported us, and I have always said that we are grateful to the White House, grateful for bipartisan support," the President says.

Zelenskyy thanked that American support has been there since the first day of the full-scale invasion, and continues to this day.

"But President Biden was not able to end this war. I am confident that President (Donald - ed.) Trump can do it. I think this will be the main difference," the Ukrainian President explains.

Trump is trying to end Russia's war in Ukraine

Even before the start of the presidential campaign for the 2024 elections, Donald Trump promised to quickly end the war in Ukraine, saying he could do it within 100 days of being elected.

Trump also continues to criticize the Biden administration for failing to end the war quickly, emphasizing that if he had been president, the war would not have started.

For a long time, Trump has been unequivocally asserting that he has ties to Russian dictator Vladimir Putin and will be able to influence him, but this month, he expressed disappointment in Putin's actions, saying that Putin is not ready to compromise and that the conflict will last longer than expected.

Recently, the US President said that he was preparing to send 17 Patriot systems to Ukraine. According to him, some of these systems will arrive within a few days.

Also, with his consent, the US and NATO signed an agreement today that provides for the shipment of US weapons to Ukraine at the expense of European countries.

Moreover, Trump has warned that if no agreement is reached between Russia and Ukraine within 50 days, the United States will impose new secondary duties.
