Trump announces delivery of 17 Patriot systems to Ukraine

According to Trump, one country is preparing to send 17 Patriot systems, and since they won't need them all, the United States will negotiate where to forward these systems — or the majority of them — and this can be arranged very quickly.

He added that some of the systems are expected to arrive within a few days.

Trump also noted that while the recipient won't require all 17 systems, a significant number of them will be deployed on the battlefield.

Patriot for Ukraine

Ukraine is currently engaged in ongoing negotiations to purchase Patriot air defense systems. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy previously emphasized the country's willingness to buy these systems, along with missiles, from the United States. However, US President Donald Trump has not yet made a final decision on the matter.

In recent days, there has been progress. Trump stated that the United States would send Patriots to Ukraine, but that Europe would cover the cost.

It had been anticipated that Trump would announce a new step today regarding weapons deliveries to Ukraine.

According to Axios, Trump is expected to unveil an "aggressive" arms supply plan for Ukraine, which may include missiles capable of reaching Moscow.
