Zelenskyy meets with President of Kenya in Switzerland
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting with Kenyan President William Ruto in Switzerland, thanking him for participating in the Peace Summit and for his principled stance in supporting Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity, according to a statement from President Zelenskyy.
The parties discussed the crucial issue of food security for both countries, the development of Ukrainian-Kenyan relations, and projects in the agricultural export sector.
The presidents also considered Kenya's possible participation in creating hubs for Ukrainian grain in African ports.
Previously, Zelenskyy emphasized the importance of Global South countries participating in the Peace Summit.
China is not participating in the event. White House National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan suggested that Chinese leadership was asked to abstain by Russian President Vladimir Putin.
