Zelenskyy invites Trump to visit Ukraine

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that US President Donald Trump could visit Ukraine to support a peace agreement to end the war, Zelenskyy said this in an interview with Axios.
Ukrainian authorities continue contacts with representatives of the current US administration to discuss a peaceful settlement of the war in Ukraine.
In particular, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and his representatives are holding active talks with US special envoys, including Donald Trump’s special envoy Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, as part of diplomatic efforts aimed at ending the war.
The meetings have focused mainly on new ideas regarding formats, timelines, and steps that could bring about a real peace in Russia’s war against Ukraine, as well as on details related to the preparation of documents.
Witkoff and Kushner are acting directly as negotiators and therefore took part in talks in Berlin and in the United States.
Moreover, according to Zelenskyy, White House special envoy Steve Witkoff and the US President’s son-in-law Jared Kushner are already ready to visit Ukraine.
The President of Ukraine suggested that perhaps Trump himself should visit to make the case.
On Friday, December 26, it became known that Donald Trump will meet Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Sunday, December 28, at his Mar-a-Lago residence in the state of Florida.
At the same time, Zelenskyy noted that during the meeting with his US counterpart, Donald Trump, he will definitely raise the issue of territories. According to Zelenskyy, he will discuss both Donbas and the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant with Trump.
Zelenskyy also said whether Europeans will take part in his meeting with Trump.
