Zelenskyy invites Rubio to visit Ukraine, thrown back 100 years

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy believes that US Secretary of State Marco Rubio needs to visit Ukraine to fully grasp Russia’s crimes. The head of state made this statement in response to Rubio’s remark that the war is setting the country back 100 years, according to the president's interview with the Associated Press.
"Rubio needs to come to Ukraine, first of all, to see what Russia has done. But also to see what the Ukrainian people did, what they were able to do for the security of Ukraine and the world, as I said, and just talk to these people," Zelenskyy said.
Rubio and Trump's statements on the war in Ukraine
On January 31, Marco Rubio stated that the war was setting Ukraine 100 years back. He noted that the war must end through negotiations and that both sides should make concessions.
Earlier, the head of American diplomacy stated that the Trump administration wants to ensure the war does not repeat in 2-4 years.
Zelenskyy warned that Putin is not ready for diplomatic negotiations, which is why Ukraine needs a strong position that the US can help secure.
