President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy had a phone conversation with President-elect of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto. During the talks, the Ukrainian leader invited Indonesia to a peace summit on Ukraine, according to the head of state.

Zelenskyy congratulated Subianto on his election victory and expressed hope for continued mutually beneficial bilateral relations.

"In 2022, I presented a formula for peace - a real path to a just peace - in Indonesia. Now we are preparing the inaugural peace summit, and Indonesia's participation in it is fundamentally important for us," he says.

The President adds that he had invited Subianto to join the summit and implement the items on food and nuclear security, as well as on the exchange of prisoners.

Global peace summit

Ukraine has already organized several meetings on the peace formula at the level of advisors to heads of state, which were attended by dozens of countries. The main goal is to involve as many countries as possible in supporting this initiative.

In January 2024, Ukraine and Switzerland began preparations for the Global Peace Summit, which will be held at the level of heads of state.

At the same time, Switzerland has asked China to participate in a peace conference on Ukraine to be held this year.
