Today, July 9, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy is on a visit to the Italian capital. He will hold a number of important meetings in Rome, according to presidential spokesman Serhii Nykyforov.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy is scheduled to have an audience with Pope Leo XIV, as well as meetings with Italian President Sergio Mattarella and US President Donald Trump's special envoy for Ukraine, Keith Kellogg.

"Also, on July 10-11, the Ukraine Recovery Conference will be held in Rome," he added.

Zelenskyy's visit to Rome

Earlier, it was reported that today, July 9, Volodymyr Zelenskyy arrived in Rome, where a meeting of the Coalition of the Willing is to take place.

The president recently had a phone call with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer. According to Zelenskyy, they discussed expectations for the meeting to be held in Rome.

Meanwhile, the media reported that Zelenskyy would also meet with his Italian counterpart Sergio Mattarella during his visit to Rome. According to journalists, the meeting is scheduled for 5 p.m. Kyiv time.

Ukraine Recovery Conference

An international conference on Ukraine's recovery will be held in Rome on July 10-11. The leaders of partner countries will come together to discuss strategies for rebuilding Ukraine after the war.

According to Zelenskyy, the event will be a logical continuation of this year's Ukraine Recovery Conference, which took place in Berlin. This will be the fourth Ukraine Recovery Conference.

The Ukraine Recovery Conference website states that the main topics of the conference in Italy will be:

  • business - involving the private sector in reconstruction and economic growth;
  • human capital for Ukraine;
  • regional recovery;
  • EU accession and related reforms.

Yesterday, July 8, the President of Ukraine approved the government delegation that will attend the conference.
