Zelenskyy attends Coalition talks in Brussels, continues with leaders to Trump

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, on August 17, travels to Brussels for the meeting of the Coalition of the Willing. After this, he, together with European leaders, will go to the USA, the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, stated on X.

It should be noted that although a joint meeting between Trump, Zelenskyy, and European leaders was initially planned, it was announced today that Trump intends to hold a one-on-one meeting with Zelenskyy.

Russian airstrike kills 15-year-old and wounds entire family in Ukraine's Zaporizhzhia village

A 15-year-old boy was killed in a Russian airstrike on the village of Novoyakovlivka in the Zaporizhzhia region. His younger brother and sister, parents, and two other men were also wounded, reports Ivan Fedorov, head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration.

The boy's 12-year-old brother and 8-year-old sister were wounded. Their father, 40, and mother, 36, were also wounded. Two additional men, aged 41 and 51, were hurt. Fedorov said all victims are receiving necessary medical care.

EU to adopt 19th sanctions package against Russia in early September, von der Leyen says

The European Union is set to adopt its 19th sanctions package against Russia in early September, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said during a joint press conference with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

"We will continue to strengthen sanctions. We have adopted 18 packages so far, and we are advancing preparation for the 19th. This package will be forthcoming in early September," von der Leyen said.
