US President Donald Trump will hold a one-on-one meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. Their joint meeting with European leaders will take place afterward, Bild reports.

According to the media outlet, US President Donald Trump decided to hold a face-to-face meeting with Zelenskyy, despite the fact that the Ukrainian leader is accompanied in Washington by German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, and other European politicians.

Bild’s sources report that only after the tête-à-tête talks between the Presidents of Ukraine and the United States will representatives of the EU and NATO join them.

In addition, a joint working dinner and broader discussions are also planned.

The last meeting between Zelenskyy and Trump in the White House ended in conflict, after which the American President even temporarily suspended military aid to Kyiv.

Apart from Merz and von der Leyen, the delegation will also include:

  • French President Emmanuel Macron,
  • UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer,
  • Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni,
  • Finnish President Alexander Stubb,
  • NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte.

On August 17, the Ukrainian President arrived in Brussels for a meeting of the Coalition of the Willing, and afterward, together with European leaders, he will travel to the United States.

Earlier today, Merz revealed what exactly Zelenskyy and European leaders would discuss with Trump.
