Today, February 10, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting on Ukrainian arms and ammunition production.

"I held a detailed and wide-ranging meeting on the Ukrainian production of weapons and ammunition - everything we already produce and plan to produce. Drones, shells for drones, artillery and ammunition, our equipment," Zelenskyy said in his address.

Separately, according to the President, the meeting discussed the development and support of mobile fire groups.

"The Commander-in-Chief, commanders, government officials. Clear tasks for funding, acceleration of contracts. Everything planned for the year will be fulfilled," he added.

Weapons production in Ukraine

As Zelenskyy has previously stated, Ukraine must become so strong and effective that Russia knows that every strike will be met with a response, and this requires increasing domestic weapons production.

Ukraine, in particular, is already producing its own long-range weapons. For example, experts have managed to develop a new version of the Neptune missile. And recently, it became known that mass production of drones, which are a kind of analog to Iranian Shaheds, has begun.

According to the Minister of Strategic Industry Oleksandr Kamyshin, Ukraine has significantly increased the production of ammunition. For example, mines production has increased by 42 times, and artillery shells by almost 3 times.

In addition, the Industrial and Defense Committee has recently been established in Ukraine by the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers. It will involve arms manufacturers, independent experts, and specialists.
