Zelenskyy holds lengthy and substantive talks with Blinken and Lammy
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting today with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken and UK Foreign Secretary David Lammy. The discussion was lengthy and substantive, according to the President.
"All key issues were discussed. It is important that Ukraine's arguments are heard. This concerns long-range weapons, providing combat brigades on the frontline, and the overall strategy for approaching a just peace," Zelenskyy stated.
He also noted that special attention was given to preparation for the second Peace Summit and the steps necessary to make the summit productive.
"Thank you for your unwavering support of our independence, Ukrainian defense, and the protection of our people’s lives!" the President concluded.
Today, on September 11, UK Foreign Secretary David Lammy and his American counterpart, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, arrived in Kyiv.
During the meeting, Blinken announced over $700 million in aid for Ukraine.
