Zelenskyy hears updates from Commander-in-Chief and Defense Minister as preparations for Ramstein continue

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy heard a report from the military command of Ukraine. It concerned the situation at the front, according to Zelenskyy's Telegram channel.
According to Zelenskyy, the report was attended by Defense Minister Rustem Umerov, Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi, and the Chief of the General Staff, Anatolii Barhylevych.
They discussed the current situation on the front lines in Ukraine and preparations for the next Ramstein meeting, which will be held on October 12, chaired by US President Joe Biden.
The day before, Zelenskyy announced the start of preparations for the next Ramstein but did not disclose details on how these preparations are taking place.
Ukraine Defense Contact Group meeting (Ramstein-format meeting)
The Ramstein-format meetings are a series of international meetings of defense ministers aimed at coordinating military assistance to Ukraine in its fight against Russian aggression. It is named after the Ramstein Air Base in Germany, where the first meeting took place in April 2022.
The number of participating countries varies, typically involving several dozen states, including NATO members and neutral countries. Not all participants provide military assistance; some countries limit themselves to humanitarian support or political solidarity.
Ramstein has become an important tool for international support for Ukraine, ensuring coordination in delivering military aid.
The meetings involve defense ministers, and in September, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy personally attended the Ramstein meeting for the first time.
