The US and Ukraine are discussing the supply of long-range weapon systems. The outcome will depend on the decision of the American side, according to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, ahead of the Seventh Summit of the European Political Community.

Zelenskyy comments on the possibility of receiving intelligence from the US for long-range missile strikes on Russia's energy infrastructure and noted that everything depends on the decision of US President Donald Trump.

"We spoke with the United States. We are very thankful to President Trump for this dialogue. Last time, we had a very good meeting, very productive dialogue," the Ukrainian leader says.

According to him, during the conversation, the parties discussed the supply of long-range weapon systems.

"We will see. Everything depends on his decision. This is significant," Zelenskyy explains.

Strikes against Russia and missiles transfer

Last week, President Zelenskyy said that Trump supported Ukraine's right to respond to Russia's strikes. In particular, to attack energy facilities.

In addition, he recently noted that if Russia threatens blackouts in Kyiv, it should understand that it will get blackouts in Moscow.

The head of state stressed that Ukraine will not be weak and will respond to Russian attacks on the energy sector. Also, earlier this week, US Special Envoy Keith Kellogg said that Trump had authorized long-range strikes against Russia.

In the same interview with Fox News, he said that the decision to supply Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine has not yet been made, and the final decision will be made by Trump.

US Vice President JD Vance said much the same thing, noting that negotiations on this issue are ongoing.

At the same time, Western media reported today that the US will provide Ukraine with intelligence for missile strikes on Russia's energy sector.
