Ukraine has not received security guarantees from its partners, and without them, there is no sense in discussing the next step in the peace process, states the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, during a conversation with journalists.

Donbas is not a 'patch' of land

US Vice President JD Vance previously stated that negotiations are progressing, but the issue of a certain "patch" of territory remains to be resolved — referring to Donbas.

"Every square meter of our land is Ukrainian land. And, with all due respect to our partners, it is certainly not theirs," Zelenskyy replied.

According to the president, if Ukraine leaves Donbas, Russia will turn these lands into a platform for new offensives.

That is why the issue of territories cannot be considered technical or a compromise matter.

"Before doing something, one must know the details and have detailed security guarantees. Yes, we are talking about detailed security guarantees, but we simply do not have them," Zelenskyy added.

As reported by RBC-Ukraine, Zelenskyy announced a trilateral meeting on ending the war — but the final format has not yet been determined.

The date of the visit by American negotiators is expected after the Easter holidays.

Zelenskyy also named the main fuel problem for Ukraine — diesel. The president assured that the country had previously agreed with partners from the Middle East on supplies for a year in advance.
