We will not be left without fuel
According to Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Ukraine has already reached agreements with countries in the Middle East to secure fuel supplies for a year. This is necessary in case shortages emerge globally.
At the same time, he assured that fuel prices for Ukraine "will be reasonable." The key factors influencing fuel prices are a ceasefire in the Middle East and the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz.
"We will definitely not be left without fuel, we will not be left without diesel, and that is the most important thing," the President said.
Main problem
Volodymyr Zelenskyy separately pointed out that the Strait of Hormuz has still not been reopened, even after the ceasefire between the United States and Iran.
"That is why we are making advance agreements with representatives of the Middle East (on fuel – ed.), because we have the sowing campaign, we have the Armed Forces, we have people — we have many issues related to diesel. The main problem is diesel," Zelenskyy said.
He added that there are also issues with fuel prices. The authorities have already discussed these problems with the private sector, key suppliers in the energy market, and state-owned companies.
Fuel prices at gas stations
After Iran closed the Strait of Hormuz, fuel prices in Ukraine surged.
At the same time, amid the ceasefire between the United States and Iran, the situation has gradually begun to improve.
