Zelenskyy discusses joint weapons production with heads of U.S. defense companies
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has met with the heads of American defense companies, according to the website of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
The Head of State thanked all employees of American defense companies that produce weapons for their contribution to the defense of Ukraine.
"I want to thank all of you, as well as your partners. I would also like to say something important to your employees: you have done a lot for Ukraine. Without people like you, we would not be able to withstand and defend our land," the President said.
Zelenskyy proposed to create a defense hub in Europe based in Ukraine. He noted that Ukraine has a wealth of practical experience in defense gained as a result of the war.
The President emphasized that Ukraine is ready to increase the production of ammunition and military equipment, but it needs the support of large foreign companies. In particular, it is about the joint production of artillery ammunition, air defense systems, artillery, and missile systems.
According to Zelenskyy, Ukraine intends to attract American partners to participate in the country's defense industry. This will benefit all parties.
The President emphasized the importance of a creative and innovative approach in the defense industry. Examples of such an approach are projects that integrate modern Western and old Soviet technological solutions. This allows for the effective defense of Ukrainian cities and citizens.
