Zelenskyy details Russia’s weekly barrage of missiles, drones, and bombs over Ukraine
Over the past week, the occupiers launched 120 missile strikes and 500 airstrikes with bombs. Additionally, Russia deployed nearly 660 drones to attack Ukraine, according to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's Telegram channel.
"Last night and throughout this week, our air defense forces, mobile fire units, and all sky defense divisions worked tirelessly to protect Ukrainians from Russian aerial terror," wrote President Zelenskyy.
He noted that more than 30 attack drones were shot down overnight.
"Over the past week, Russia has used over 500 guided aerial bombs, nearly 660 attack drones, and around 120 missiles of various types against us," the president reported.
Zelenskyy emphasized that no other country in the world has faced such daily attacks over such an extended period.
"Our nation has endured, our Armed Forces continue to fight the aggressor, our people are working towards a strong Ukraine, and our partners are supporting us. Together, we are a force that will compel Russia to a just peace and the restoration of peace and security in Europe. Thank you to everyone who understands and supports us," he assured.
Massive Russian strike on Ukraine, November 28
Earlier this week, on November 28, Russian forces launched a massive strike targeting Ukraine's energy infrastructure. This was the second such attack in November and the eleventh since the start of 2024.
President Zelenskyy explained that during the attack, Russia used Kalibr missiles equipped with cluster munitions, significantly complicating the aftermath of the strikes.
In total, the occupiers launched 188 drones and missiles at Ukraine. Air defense managed to intercept more than half of the targets. Due to the impact on the energy sector, emergency power outages had to be implemented.
