Zelenskyy declares new phase of war in Ukraine

The war in Ukraine is at a new phase. Winter is expected to complicate hostilities, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy says in an interview with the Associated Press.
"We have a new phase of war, and that is a fact. Winter as a whole is a new phase of war," he states.
At the same time, the President notes that Ukraine will not surrender.

In an interview with The Economist, Zelensky said Russian dictator Vladimir Putin did not understand that he would lose in a long war. At the same time, he does not want to think about a long war, but he is preparing for it.
In addition, before that, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Ukraine is ready "to fight for a long time without losing people." According to him, the main thing is to "minimize the victims, as with the example of Israel."
In June 2022, the Ukrainian President declared his desire for Russia's full-scale war against Ukraine to end by the end of the year, before the onset of winter.
