Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy declined to comment on reports that the US is sharing intelligence for strikes on targets deep inside Russia, according to an interview he gave on Fox News.

The president said that he could not share all the intelligence information and that they were satisfied with how their two intelligence services were working. He added that, as of that day, their relationship was very strong.

US-Ukraine intelligence cooperation

According to the Financial Times, US intelligence has been assisting the Ukrainian Armed Forces for several months in striking energy facilities inside Russia. Washington aims to pressure Russian President Vladimir Putin into negotiations.

On Saturday, October 11, Zelenskyy spoke by phone with US President Donald Trump. The conversation focused on Russian strikes on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure and strengthening air defense systems.

According to Axios, the leaders also discussed the potential transfer of long-range Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine.

Zelenskyy said that the US has not yet made a decision on supplying these missiles to Ukraine, but targets inside Russia have already been identified for them.

Tomahawk missiles are American, multi-purpose, highly accurate, subsonic cruise missiles with a long range.

They can hit targets up to 2,600 km away and fly at extremely low altitudes (around 20–30 meters), utilizing terrain-following guidance, which makes them almost immune to enemy air defenses.
