Zelenskyy makes new statement on Tomahawk missiles, hints at new Russian military targets

US President Donald Trump has not yet made a final decision on supplying long-range Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine, but potential targets on Russian territory already exist, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said in an interview with Fox News.
During the interview, Zelenskyy was asked whether Trump had approved the deliveries during the intensive two-day talks.
"We are working on it. I am waiting for the president's (decision -ed.). Yes, of course, we are counting on such decisions, but we will see," he replied.
Regarding potential targets for Tomahawks on Russian territory, Zelenskyy said they would be exclusively military, likely including oil refineries.
"Russians sell energy, have money, and put money into the military. For us, military (targets -ed.) — goals," he added.
Zelenskyy emphasized that the priority is to reduce Moscow's capacity to wage a prolonged war. He outlined two ways to achieve this: applying diplomatic pressure on Vladimir Putin or striking on the battlefield.
"First of all, decreasing capabilities — it's been a possibility for Russia to continue the war. So, it's only military goals. If we speak about long-range (strikes -ed.), we speak only about military goals," he stressed.
Earlier this week, Trump said the decision to supply Ukraine with Tomahawk missiles was nearly made, but noted that the targets must be determined first.
Later, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine said all details of the long-range missile transfer are currently being coordinated.
According to RBC-Ukraine sources, the two leaders recently discussed the possibility of supplying Tomahawks during phone conversations.
Zelenskyy added that the hysteria in Moscow over this issue shows that only the delivery of long-range missiles could pressure Putin to stop the war.
