Today, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and President Donald Trump discussed not only the potential delivery of Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine but also options for supplying Patriot air defense systems, according to a source with knowledge.

Trump asked about the current situation in Ukraine, particularly in Kyiv, and the impact of recent Russian strikes. He expressed willingness to provide support. The conversation also focused on air defense, including Ukraine's existing systems and missiles.

The source confirmed that the topic of Tomahawk missiles was raised, but did not provide further details.

Zelenskyy spoke with Trump

On Saturday, October 11, Zelenskyy and Trump held a phone call. Afterward, the Ukrainian President said the leaders discussed Russian strikes on Ukraine's energy infrastructure and ways to strengthen the country's air defense.

"I appreciate his willingness to support us. We discussed opportunities to bolster our air defense, as well as concrete agreements that we are working on to ensure this. There are good options and solid ideas on how to truly strengthen us," Zelenskyy said.

Later, Axios reported that the leaders also discussed the potential delivery of long-range Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine.
