Zelenskyy-Biden meeting - US Secretary of State hints at talks between two presidents
US Secretary of State Antony Blinken hinted at an upcoming meeting between the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and the President of the United States Joe Biden, according to the US State Department press service.
"I look forward to discussing a whole variety of issues that we have, and I know the President will look forward to seeing you in the near future," noted Blinken.
The US Secretary of State also emphasized that President Biden asked him to come to confirm US support and ensure that the White House maximizes the efforts that allies are making to address the counteroffensive issues and provide long-term assistance to Ukraine.
Blinken's visit to Ukraine
Today, on September 6, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken is on a working visit to Kyiv. He has already paid tribute to the memory of Ukrainian soldiers who died in the war with Russia.
During the visit, the Secretary of State held meetings with the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dmytro Kuleba.
Information about the new aid package for Ukraine from the US, brought by Blinken, was first reported in the media today.
