Zelenskyy arrives in Washington, D.C.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and First Lady Olena Zelenska have arrived in Washington, D.C., where the NATO summit is starting today, according to FREEДOM.
Before the summit, Zelenskyy and the First Lady laid wreaths at the Holodomor victims memorial and met with the local Ukrainian community.
According to Zelenskyy, at the NATO summit, Ukraine will focus on increasing its air defense capabilities and the number of F-16 aircraft.
"We are fighting for additional security guarantees for Ukraine - this means weapons and finances, political support. We are fighting for decisive actions from America and Europe - actions that will strengthen our soldiers," Zelenskyy said.
The President emphasized the need to do everything possible to defeat Russian terror, as this is necessary not only for Ukraine but for the whole world.
The NATO summit will take place in Washington, DC, from July 9 to 11. One of the main issues on the agenda will be support for Ukraine. In particular, a decision to strengthen Ukraine's air defense is expected.

According to Secretary General Stoltenberg, the summit plans to agree on a large-scale aid package for Ukraine.
Meanwhile, Estonian President Alar Karis said that Ukraine's membership in NATO cannot be a subject of negotiation during the summit, as its path to membership is already irreversible.
