Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Polish President Karol Nawrocki may hold a meeting in the coming weeks, Ukraine's ambassador to Poland, Vasyl Bodnar, said during a broadcast on RMF FM.

"We spoke with the Presidential Office, and they told us that after the UN session, there will be a visit (by Nawrocki - ed.) to Ukraine. We are now preparing for it," Bodnar said, expressing hope the meeting will take place in the coming weeks.

The diplomat clarified that Ukraine expects to receive Nawrocki’s visit schedule "in the coming days," though he did not reveal specific dates.

The two leaders are expected to discuss security issues, as Ukraine and Poland share a common enemy — Russia.

"Poland is also under threat from Russia — not only from drones, but also from disinformation, influence operations across EU countries, and the situation in the Baltic Sea. There are many matters we need to coordinate, as well as strengthen our defense, which has much to offer," Bodnar added.

Nawrocki's plans

On September 25, Polish President Karol Nawrocki said he plans to meet Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Kyiv.

According to Nawrocki, he already spoke briefly with Zelenskyy during the UN General Assembly — a short exchange of courtesies, as the Polish leader described it.
