Zelenskyy and Macron to meet in Brussels today
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy will meet with his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron today. The meeting will take place in Brussels, Le Monde reports.
According to the agency, Zelenskyy and Macron will meet at 6:15 p.m. local time in Brussels. The meeting will take place on the sidelines of the European Union-Western Balkans Summit.
At the same time, Macron may miss an important high-level meeting on Ukraine organized by NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte due to his departure for Mayotte.
Zelenskyy's visit to Brussels
Recently, it was reported that Zelenskyy will visit Brussels on December 18. During the visit, he may meet with the leaders of the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Poland, NATO, and the EU.
Later, Olha Stefanishyna, Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration and Minister of Justice of Ukraine Olha Stefanishyna confirmed Zelenskyy's trip. She said that the President would participate in the first meeting of the European Council after the appointment of its new president.
President Zelenskyy stated that he would meet with leaders from several European countries in Brussels. He plans to discuss long-range capabilities and other key issues.
