President Volodymyr Zelenskyy will soon visit Brussels. Ukrainian leader was invited to participate in the first meeting of the European Council, citing Olha Stefanishyna, Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration and Minister of Justice of Ukraine.

"President Zelenskyy has been invited to the European Council's first meeting following its President's appointment. This is a very important signal for us. In fact, there is no division between Ukraine and EU member states. Ukraine is on the agenda at the highest level. And, of course, there will be many issues planned for discussion, including the Paris meeting and initiatives from the European Commission," Stefanishyna said.

Ukraine's Deputy Prime Minister also added that during this meeting, the European Commission will present its strategic vision for the next five years, addressing both enlargement and EU defense policy.

"Undoubtedly, the President accepted the invitation to participate in the European Council meeting primarily to outline the priorities of European integration, cooperation with the EU, and the role of the European Union in a peaceful Europe to the new composition of European institutions. I think everyone is expecting this because he was invited on the very first day that President Costa took office," Stefanishyna noted.
