President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting with US President's Special Envoy Keith Kellogg, Zelenskyy reported.

"Ukraine is extremely grateful to the United States for its support, and we appreciate that President Trump is so determined to achieve real peace. It is very important to implement all the results – political, defense, economic – achieved during our meeting together with European leaders in Washington," Zelenskyy said.

According to him, it was a successful summit, a demonstration of true unity between Europe and America.

Zelenskyy expects that in the near future the key foundations of security guarantees for Ukraine will be defined.

"We discussed how we can influence the Russians, force them into real negotiations and end the war. Sanctions, tariffs – everything must remain on the agenda. We are ready to talk in the format of leaders. It is precisely such a format that is needed to resolve key issues. Now the same readiness is required in Moscow," he emphasized.

According to the president, military cooperation is important for Ukraine and the United States, and there are two strong opportunities – a weapons purchase agreement and a drone agreement, which "can significantly strengthen our arsenals."

"We are maintaining momentum in our work within PURL. This is an important instrument for purchasing American equipment with partner funds, and we are now actively working on involving additional countries," Zelenskyy said.

He also discussed with Kellogg the return of all abducted Ukrainian children.

"We very much hope that America, the president, and the First Lady of the United States will continue to make personal efforts to return all the children abducted by Russia," the president emphasized.

Kellogg's visit to Kyiv

US President's Special Envoy for Ukraine Keith Kellogg arrived in Kyiv on Independence Day, August 24. He took part in the official events.

Earlier, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that he would hold talks with Kellogg regarding a possible summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

During the official events in Kyiv, Kellogg expressed hope that next year Ukraine would celebrate Independence Day already under a peaceful sky.

Minister of Defense of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal also held a meeting with Kellogg. One of the topics discussed was a major drone agreement.
