US Special Envoy Kellogg arrives in Kyiv

US Special Envoy for Ukraine, Keith Kellogg, arrived in Kyiv on Independence Day, August 24. He took part in the Independence Day celebrations.
Kellogg attended the Independence Day celebrations on Sophia Square in central Kyiv. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy delivered a speech.
In addition, representatives and officials from other countries, including Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney, participated in the event alongside Kellogg. Among the foreign guests were:
- Defense Ministers of Sweden, Denmark, Romania, Lithuania, Latvia, and Canada
- UK Minister for Veterans Affairs.
"The Ukrainian people have gone through one of the most difficult paths in Europe, but they have survived, they have not fallen, they have not disappeared, and they have not lost their country. For a long time, Ukrainians had to fight for their national rights. But time and again, our people proved that Ukrainian dreams will still come true on our Ukrainian land," Zelenskyy said.
Kellogg's visit
Earlier, the media reported that US Special Envoy Keith Kellogg would visit Ukraine on August 24-25.
Kellogg last visited Ukraine in mid-July. His visit lasted several days.
Kellogg and Zelenskyy also held a meeting on August 18, when the Ukrainian president came to Washington for talks with Donald Trump and European leaders.
