In Ternopil, at the site of Russia’s strike on the night of November 19, the search-and-rescue operation is still ongoing. The whereabouts of 22 people remain unknown, according to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
"Throughout the night, our rescuers worked in Ternopil, and search-and-rescue operations are still ongoing. The whereabouts of 22 people are unknown – the search continues," Zelenskyy reported.
According to him, more than 230 rescuers from nine regions of Ukraine have been involved in the work.
In certain areas, work can only be carried out manually due to severe destruction and the fragmentation of the structures. This complicates the search.
As of now, it is known that 26 people have been killed, including three children.
"I thank all our people who have been working on-site for almost 24 hours non-stop. Rescuers, medics, police officers – I thank each and every one of you. It is extremely important that on such difficult days, despite all of Russia’s attacks and all the terror, our people always know they can count on rescue and assistance," the president noted.
