Zaporizhzhia under heavy attack: 7 missiles, drones, rising injuries

As a result of the overnight combined attack, the number of injured in Zaporizhzhia has risen significantly, including children, reports the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, Ivan Fedorov, and the Zaporizhzhia Police.

As of 06:33 a.m. Kyiv time, 16 people have been recorded as injured in the city, including two children.

"Eight people have been hospitalized - among them a 10-year-old boy and a 16-year-old girl. All necessary medical assistance is being provided to the injured," Fedorov wrote.

He added that the enemy attacked the regional center with Shahed drones and missiles. As a result of the combined strike, one person was killed.

Fedorov also released photos showing the aftermath of the shelling.

The Zaporizhzhia Regional Police reported that on August 30, between 01:46 and 04:05, the Russian army attacked Zaporizhzhia with 7 missiles (type to be determined) and 6 UAVs (preliminarily, Shahed-type).

"The strikes hit infrastructure facilities, private residential areas, and areas near multi-apartment buildings," the law enforcement statement said.

Police, explosive ordnance disposal specialists, police paramedics, rescuers, and other relevant city services are working at the sites.

Nighttime combined attack by Russia on Ukraine

On the night of August 30, Russian forces carried out another massive missile and drone strike on Ukraine.

The main targets of the attack were Zaporizhzhia, Dnipro, Pavlohrad, Cherkasy, and the Volyn region.

In Zaporizhzhia, at least 12 strikes were reported, damaging industrial buildings.

According to rescuers, residential five-story and private houses in Zaporizhzhia were hit, and fires broke out at the impact sites.
