On the night of August 30, Russian forces carried out a combined drone and missile attack on Zaporizhzhia. As a result of the strikes, one person was killed and six were rescued, according to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.

“Impacts were recorded on two five-story buildings and five private houses. Fires broke out, and neighboring structures were damaged,” the report states.

According to preliminary information from rescuers, one person died and six others were rescued. The total number of casualties is being clarified.

Emergency units, medical teams, and bomb disposal specialists are working at the site. All city emergency services have been involved in dealing with the aftermath.

Rescuers also released photos showing the damage caused by the enemy strikes.

Massive Russian airstrike

During the night, Russian forces attacked Ukraine with kamikaze drones, as well as cruise and ballistic missiles.

One of the targets was the city of Zaporizhzhia. The enemy struck the regional center with drones and cruise missiles. The blast waves damaged residential buildings, and fires broke out at the impact sites.
