Russian forces attacked Zaporizhzhia with drones on the night of September 27. The strikes left thousands without electricity and destroyed a well-known ATB grocery store, according to a Telegram post from the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, Ivan Fedorov.

According to the Ukrainian Air Force, as of 10:59 p.m. Kyiv time, drones were detected over the northern part of Zaporizhzhia. Eight minutes later, explosions were reported in the city, followed by additional blasts.

Consequences of the Russian attack on Zaporizhzhia
After the enemy strike, Regional Military Administration head Ivan Fedorov reported that a civilian infrastructure facility was hit. Initial reports of casualties were not confirmed.

“Just before midnight, the enemy attacked Zaporizhzhia with two drones. A fire broke out, and a store was destroyed. Preliminary reports indicate no casualties,” Fedorov clarified.
Russian attacks on Zaporizhzhia
In recent times, Russia has increasingly targeted Zaporizhzhia, launching drones and sometimes aerial bombs at the city.
Specifically, early in the morning of September 22, Zaporizhzhia was hit by guided aerial bombs. The strike caused a fire in a two-story building, destroyed five vehicles, and resulted in three fatalities.
