Zaporizhzhia hit by Russian strikes for second night: Civilian homes and infrastructure burn

On the night of September 23, Russian forces attacked Zaporizhzhia with high-explosive aerial bombs. As a result of the enemy shelling, fires broke out in the city, according to Telegram reports from the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, Ivan Fedorov.
“Fires broke out in residential areas and on the territory of industrial infrastructure facilities in Zaporizhzhia,” the statement reads.
Fedorov clarified that earlier, the enemy struck the city at night six times with high-explosive aerial bombs. He later added that civilian infrastructure and residential buildings were hit.

The State Emergency Service of Ukraine reported that, preliminarily, a person may be trapped under the debris in Zaporizhzhia.
“The impact was recorded on the territory of a private property, where a residential building was destroyed and neighboring buildings were damaged by the blast wave. In addition, a fire broke out at the scene,” the statement reads.
Currently, emergency responders continue to extinguish the fire and conduct a search-and-rescue operation.
Attack on Zaporizhzhia
Russian forces regularly attack Zaporizhzhia and the surrounding region, using strike drones, aerial bombs, and various types of missiles.
For example, on the morning of September 22, Zaporizhzhia was also attacked with aerial bombs. As a result, a two-story building and vehicles caught fire, and three people were killed - two women and one man.
