Zaporizhzhia hit by night attack with drones and artillery, several wounded

On the night of July 20, Russian forces once again attacked Zaporizhzhia and the Zaporizhzhia district using attack drones and artillery. Unfortunately, there were casualties.

According to Ivan Fedorov, head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, on his Telegram channel, the attack on Zaporizhzhia on the night of July 20 damaged several private homes and shattered windows and the facade of a multi-story building.

Russian forces attacked with drones and MLRS
On the night of July 20, the Ukrainian Air Forces warned of drone threats and two high-speed targets over Zaporizhzhia.
At 01:45, the official reported that during a massive strike on Zaporizhzhia and its outskirts with Shahed drones, fires broke out in open areas and a house caught fire.
According to the latest data, at least 14 strike Shahed drones attacked Zaporizhzhia and the Zaporizhzhia district overnight, along with two MLRS strikes.
What is known about the injured
Besides the destruction, the regional head also reported that two women were injured as a result of the Shahed drone attack on the Vasylivskyi district.
"A 64-year-old and a 73-year-old woman were wounded when an enemy drone struck their home in Prymorske. The house’s windows were shattered, and the facade was damaged. The women have received all necessary medical care," the official statement said.
However, it later turned out that only a 69-year-old woman sought medical help. She is receiving all the necessary treatment.
Additionally, in his initial report, Fedorov mentioned a wounded man.
Situation at Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant
On the afternoon of July 19, a large plume of smoke appeared over the occupied city of Enerhodar, home to the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant. According to social media reports, the smoke was visible for tens of kilometers. At the same time, there were claims of a complete blackout across the entire Zaporizhzhia region.
During a one-day visit to Kyiv, the Director General of the IAEA stated that the threats to nuclear safety in Ukraine remain real and ongoing amid intensified Russian air attacks.
