Zaluzhnyi discusses Ukraine's air defense strengthening with NATO Commander Europe
Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valerii Zaluzhnyi had today a conversation with Supreme Allied Commander Europe and Commander, U.S. European Command General Christopher Cavoli, according to Zaluzhnyi's statement.
"I informed my colleague in detail on the situation along the frontline and the priority needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine," the statement says.
Zaluzhny also states that the air defense augmentation issue remains a priority.
"I am grateful to our partners for their assistance and active cooperation for liberating the Ukrainian territory from the Russian occupiers," he added.
Frontline situation
The Ukrainian Armed Forces have reached the trenches to the west of Verbove village in the Zaporizhzhia region, and it is likely that they made a breakthrough with armored vehicles along the Robotyne-Verbove line.
Pavlo Kovalchuk, a spokesperson for the General Staff, reported that the Ukrainian military successfully repelled a Russian attack in the Rivnopole area of the Donetsk region. The occupiers did not advance in the Kupiansk-Lyman direction.
