Yermak after meeting with Hungarian FM: Ukraine needs to conduct dialogue with neighbors
Ukraine needs to conduct a dialogue with neighboring countries. This applies to Hungary and other states that are not aggressors, says the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak at a meeting with journalists.
According to Yermak, after yesterday's negotiations with the head of the Hungarian Foreign Ministry, Péter Szijjártó, he concluded that everyone needs to work towards a meeting between President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán. But the goal is not just a meeting.
"My conclusion: we all need to work so that the meeting will take place. The goal is not just a meeting. The goal is to talk to the neighbors, if they are not aggressors, and do everything so that they have a pro-Ukrainian position," said the head of the President's Office.
He reminded that a "very successful" meeting between the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal and the Prime Minister of Slovakia Robert Fico took place recently. According to Yermak, this is a continuation of Zelenskyy's policy to unify the whole world.
Yermak emphasized that yesterday, January 29, during his visit to Uzhgorod, Szijjártó said important words about supporting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine. But the work should continue 24/7, stated the politician. Then, in his opinion, Ukraine will get everything it needs to win.
