Yemeni Houthis launch rocket towards Israel
Yemeni Houthi rebels launched a missile toward Israel, which successfully intercepted the hostile aerial target, according to Israel’s air defense system, according to the Telegram channel of the Israeli Defense Forces.
Israeli forces intercepted a surface-to-surface missile launched from Yemen using the long-range Arrow defense system.
Around 12:40 a.m., warning sirens were activated in central Israel due to the interception and concerns over falling debris. However, military officials stated that the missile was shot down outside the country's borders.
No new instructions have been issued by the Israeli Defense Forces following the attack.
Meanwhile, the Magen David Adom (MDA) emergency service reported no injuries except for a few individuals who experienced stress from the alarms or sustained injuries while moving to bomb shelters.

Yemeni Houthi rebels announced that their military spokesperson will soon make a statement following the interception of a missile launched from the country by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF).
Attacks by the Houthis on Israel
The Houthi group in Yemen is allied with Iran, the Palestinian Hamas, and Lebanon's Hezbollah, opposing Israel and Western nations since the onset of the war in the Gaza Strip in October 2023.
Previously, Yemeni militants targeted Israel with drones, and in mid-September, they launched a hypersonic ballistic missile toward central Israel, which was successfully intercepted by Israeli air defense forces.
Meanwhile, Russia plans to supply the Houthis with batches of the anti-ship missile Yakhont, also known as P-800 Oniks.
Additionally, American military forces and coalition partners regularly destroy drones and missiles from the Houthis that pose a threat in the Red Sea region.
However, at the beginning of September, the Houthis attacked oil tankers owned by Greece.
