Just 12 days after the start of the operation in Iran, the United States exhausted stockpiles of precision weapons accumulated over the years, Financial Times reports.

According to data from the Center for Strategic and International Studies, the US military used 168 Tomahawk missiles in just the first 100 hours of war against Iran.

As noted by sources familiar with the US military's use of munitions, it is "a massive expenditure of Tomahawks." The "navy will be feeling this expenditure for several years."

It is noted that the consequences of active missile use are most noticeable for long-range missiles and interceptors of air defense systems, such as Patriot, SM-3, and THAAD. In particular, the pace of their use exceeds the capabilities of the defense industry dozens of times.

Another $50 billion for war

Financial Times writes that the Pentagon will soon send an official request to White House and Congress for additional military spending of $50 billion.

At the same time, the bill on financing the war in Iran may cause disputes in the House of Representatives and the Senate.

The administration of US President Donald Trump estimates the costs of the first six days of war in the Middle East at $11.3 billion.

The war between the US and Israel against Iran

On February 28, Israel, together with the United States, launched a military operation against Iran. As a result of strikes on the first day of war, Supreme Leader of Iran Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was eliminated.

In response, Tehran began launching strikes on countries of the Middle East — Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, UAE, Jordan, Azerbaijan, and Türkiye came under attack.

US President Donald Trump said the United States had essentially won the war against Iran, and the only question is when exactly hostilities will end.

He also said the rise in global oil prices amid conflict with Iran means higher profits for the United States.

Today Trump wrote that since the start of the conflict, Iran's military resources have significantly decreased. According to him, Iran naval and air forces no longer exist.
