Mexican actor Adan Canto, known for his role as mutant Sunspot in X-Men: Days of Future Past, has passed away at 42 due to appendiceal cancer, according to BBC.
Adan played the national security adviser in Designated Survivor, and his co-star Kiefer Sutherland paid tribute to him, describing him as a "wonderful spirit." In the X-Men film, Adan portrayed mutant Sunspot, and Halle Berry, his co-star, later cast him in her movie Bruised.
