US Special Envoy Steve Witkoff arrived in Paris on Wednesday, September 3. He is expected to take part in the meeting of the Coalition of the Willing, Devdiscourse reports.

According to the outlet, which refers to diplomatic sources, Witkoff’s arrival fuels speculation about his possible participation in the "critical meeting with nations united to support Ukraine against Russian aggression".

At the same time, it is not yet known whether the US Special Envoy will actually participate in the Coalition of the Willing meeting. However, Witkoff is expected to hold talks with the Ukrainian delegation.

The Coalition of the Willing meeting

Tomorrow, September 4, a meeting of the Coalition of the Willing will take place in Paris. Leaders of several European countries will gather at the invitation of French President Emmanuel Macron to discuss security guarantees for Ukraine.

Among them are German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, UK Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy will also join the meeting, which will be held in a hybrid format.

It is known that Macron and Starmer will chair the Coalition of the Willing meeting at the Élysée Palace.

At the same time, US President Donald Trump may be invited to take part remotely.

It was also reported that Zelenskyy and European leaders will hold a phone call with Trump after the Coalition of the Willing meeting.
