Witkoff and Putin conclude Moscow meeting: First details emerge

US President’s special envoy Steve Witkoff has concluded a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin. Their conversation lasted 4.5 hours, according to the Kremlin’s official website.
Earlier today in Moscow, Witkoff met with Russia’s investment envoy Kirill Dmitriev. Following that meeting, he held negotiations with Putin.
According to Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, Putin aimed to discuss possible options for resolving the situation in Ukraine with Witkoff. Peskov also noted that the meeting would last as long as Putin deemed necessary.
At 10:30 p.m. Kyiv time, Russian media began reporting that the meeting had ended.
"The President of Russia held a meeting with Steve Witkoff, Special Envoy of the President of the United States of America. The meeting is focused on the aspects of the Ukraine crisis settlement," the Kremlin’s website stated.
Russian media added that Putin’s aide Yuri Ushakov and his special envoy for investment, Kirill Dmitriev, also took part in the meeting.
Witkoff's visit to Russia
Today, US special envoy Steve Witkoff is visiting Russia, where he has already met with Russian investment envoy Kirill Dmitriev.
Details on how this visit may impact US President Donald Trump can be found in the material by RBC-Ukraine.
Interestingly, Western media have begun reporting on Trump’s growing frustration with Putin, in part because Trump realizes that Putin is stalling the truce with Ukraine.
Earlier today, Reuters reported that following his meeting with Dmitriev, Witkoff told Trump that the quickest path to peace in Ukraine would be to give Russia ownership of four eastern Ukrainian regions.
