White House reveals details of Biden's meeting with Trump

US President Joe Biden and Donald Trump, the winner of the presidential election, had a meaningful exchange of views. They discussed important issues, stated White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre, according to CNN.
"They discussed important national security and domestic policy issues facing the nation and the world," she said.
According to her, Biden also touched on key points in Congress' transition plans, including government funding and disaster supplemental funding.
The press secretary also clarified that during the meeting with Trump, Biden reiterated his assurance that his administration would ensure "an orderly transition and a peaceful transition of power."
The meeting of Biden and Trump
Today, on November 13, US President Joe Biden and elected President Donald Trump had their first meeting after Trump's victory in last week's election.
The talks took place at the White House. Trump, in particular, thanked Biden for a smooth transition of power.
Trump's inauguration is scheduled for January 20.
