When new deputy ministers of defense to be appointed in Ukraine: Senior official reveals
New Deputy Ministers of Defense for Ukraine will be appointed immediately after the head of the department, Rustem Umerov, returns from his overseas business trip, according to the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, Oleksiy Danilov.
He mentions that the new Deputy Ministers of Defense for Ukraine will be appointed immediately after the head of the department, Rustem Umyarov, returns from his overseas business trip.
He explains that the first Deputy Minister of Defense, Oleksandr Pavliuk, is currently in charge and overseeing everything happening within the department.
"It's natural: when there is a change in leadership, deputies are also changed. As far as I know, all of them without exception have submitted resignation letters. Today, the Cabinet of Ministers has reviewed these letters... I believe that in the nearest future, immediately after the Minister's return from his overseas trip, Deputy Ministers will be appointed or reappointed," added Danilov.
He also adds that he does not see this situation as a "catastrophe."
