The Russian army carried out a combined strike on Ukraine overnight and in the morning. During the attack, a drone damaged a multi-story building in Kyiv's Sviatoshynskyi district.

RBC-Ukraine's report shows the aftermath of the enemy attack on Kyiv on the morning of December 23.

Photos from the Sviatoshynskyi district show that many apartment windows were severely damaged. In addition, the building's roof and facade were also affected, although the main structure appears intact.

Rescuers and municipal services are currently working on-site. Efforts to clear debris from the strike are ongoing.

As of 11:00 AM local time, it is known that five people were injured in Kyiv as a result of the Russian attack.

Attack on Ukraine on December 23

Overnight and in the morning, Russian forces launched another large-scale combined strike on Ukraine, using over 600 attack drones and dozens of missiles.

As of 7:50 AM Kyiv time, emergency power outages were implemented in most regions of the country.

In Kyiv, fragments of an enemy drone fell in the Sviatoshynskyi district, injuring at least four people according to available information.

The drone attacks also destroyed a critical infrastructure facility in Shostka, Sumy region, leaving a large part of the city without electricity and heating.

The Rivne region was also hit. Preliminary reports indicate that a multi-apartment residential building was damaged, with windows blown out by the blast wave. Additionally, a wooden utility building was destroyed, and three cars were damaged.

The day before, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy warned that Russia might carry out massive attacks on Ukraine during the Christmas period, despite Kremlin statements denying any so-called "Christmas truce."
