Russia strikes Kyiv: Residential buildings damaged, casualties reported

As a result of the Russian attack on Kyiv on Tuesday morning, December 23, debris from a Russian drone was reported in the Sviatoshinskyi district, according to Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko and the head of the Kyiv city military administration, Tymur Tkachenko.
According to Klitschko, Russian drone debris fell near a residential building, damaging windows on the fifth floor.
Tkachenko specifies that people were trapped in one of the apartments. According to him, one person was injured. At the same time, Klitschko specifies that two people were injured in Kyiv. Medical personnel are providing them with assistance.
As of 9:10 a.m. Kyiv time, the number of victims rose to 3, including a 16-year-old child.
Klitschko reports that medics had taken a woman to the hospital. Others were treated on the spot.
As of 9:15 a.m., the number of victims in Kyiv rose to 4.
Russian strikes on Ukraine on December 23
During the night and early morning, Russia carried out another combined attack on Ukraine with strike drones and missiles. As of 7:50 a.m., emergency power cuts were in effect in most regions of Ukraine.
Russia also struck the Rivne region. According to preliminary information, a Russian strike damaged an apartment building, with the blast wave shattering windows in homes. A wooden farm building was also destroyed, and 3 cars were damaged.

Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy warned that Russia could resort to massive strikes on Ukraine during the Christmas holidays, despite the Kremlin's statements about the absence of a so-called Christmas truce.
